It will be convenient, for practical and financial reasons, that this location is within Europe.“

Yes, I am a registered freelancer in Spain. This is the country of my residence. My nationality is German and my roots are Polish. 

I consider myself a global or at least European citizen if there’s ever the option to obtain a European nationality, I will apply for it.

Also, I have been working on my organisational set-up (software, hardware + know-how and soft skills) ever since the beginning of my Bachelor Degree in 2011.

„In relation to required level of web design, it would be an advantage to have basic or advanced knowledge of how to manage and/or administer a complex website and create content using a modern content management system. Given our long-term commitment to the Research Catalogue, it is very unlikely that we would face the challenge of creating a new system from scratch. For webpage purposes we will most probably use Drupal.“

My CMS experience reaches from WordPress, typo3, tailor-made code-based CMS-systems. The first website I designed was for my mum’s business in 2006, where I had to learn how to upload files through an FTP-system. After this, every CMS and website management system has been easy to use for me.

My daily mantra is ‚communication is key‘ and I live by it. I am highly adaptable and excited to learn more about the work infrastructure of SAR.

„What experiences you have with working remotely in a team?“

If a remote (team) work certificate existed, I’d already have it as an early adopter.

I am happy to see that the work-world is more accepting of the work-from-home, as for some people it is the most efficient and productive way of working.

Sometimes, I work from my favorite Coworking Space to fulfill the human need for social connection.

My familiarity with research environments is rooted in my Master’s degree, which emphasized rigorous academic research. This background has equipped me with a strong foundation in both the methodologies and the culture of scholarly inquiry.

Moreover, I am highly motivated to stay current with the latest developments and techniques in the field. I am always prepared to update my skills and knowledge to ensure I remain at the forefront of research practices.

„Are there any restrictions for participating at onsite events?“

There are no restrictions. I am happy to plan and organise accordingly.

All I kindly ask for is for timely information, since last-minute travel can result in unnecessary stress that is often easy to avoid.
